Dyeing of Wool with Sappan Wood Natural Dye Using Metal Salts for Enhancement in Color and Fastness Properties

In this study, we explore the dyeing properties of extract sappan wood natural dye for coloration wool yarn to find potential use dyed in development eco-friendly textiles. Different characterizations were used know chemistry and its interaction with metal salts wool. Interestingly, found that salts, which are called as mordants reference unmordanted sample, play an important role fixing molecule on well creating different shades a variety hues tones. The typical color fabric extracts without mordant varies from yellowish red. Light obtained case aluminum sulfate-mordanted samples, whereas ferrous sulfate mordant. colorfastness premordanted samples was relatively better than samples. wash fastness all mordanted shows change fairly good level, staining cotton be negligible.
